I called the back door Barclay number in hopes to get an increase in my card. After a long wait I thought I was getting it. But he had a question about why I have so many inquiries and I obviously answered it wrong when I said I was just trying to rebuild my credit. What is the right answer?? Because of this I was denied an increase.
How many inquiries do you have?

You told the truth and that was the right answer. I know you want an increase but wait it out a few months and try again. Sorry about the denial...
Barclays is very inq sensitive.
You told the truth you got denied. There is no right or wrong answer. Another rep could have accepted that and gave you an increase.
Did you let them do a hard pull or was it a soft inq?
