Recon Chase and Citi but refrain from any further apps for the moment. If I look at your signature you had only 1 card and apped for 2 new ones then the denials started to come in. This paired with a short history is definitely not ideal. Good luck with your recons ! Garden for 6-12 months and then you will be ready for new apps.
@Anonymous wrote:It's the warm glow of affirmation. Good luck with your recons, but if they don't work out, hold out on any more apps and garden for at least six months and let your history grow. Once you get tradeline history on your cc & loan you shouldn't have a problem with your scores and will likely have higher SL.
Thank you for the great advice!
I recon'd Chase Freedom and received a message on Tuesday morning that they would get back to me in 2 days; it's been 3 days now - is this a good sign? Thanks everyone.

What does the automated app status line say?

Just called; "Your application is being reviewed - you will receive a notification in writing in 7-10 days. This is the most current information available".

Hmmmm, that sounds like a denial based upon their known messages.
I'm shocked you weren't approved considering the inquiries should have easily been identifiable as auto loan-related. I've been approved for a lot higher end cards with even more inquiries than that (15-ish) and around the same scores (a little lower actually).
What's your AAoA?
Best to garden either way, but given your scores, you should be able to acquire some higher limits if your income and AAoA support it.
edit: nvm about Citi - I forgot about your original post. If you're burning for another app before you enter the garden, go for Cap One Venture if you've got at least 1 year history. You should be a shoe-in if your FICO 4/5 scores are 650+

If you're burning to app for something before you garden, I would go with sometihng from Citi depending on which CR they pull for your region (TU for me). If you're 5 inq or under on what they pull, you'll be golden.

Shoot They did mention that they did identify them as auto related but still said it was "too many".
AAoA: 6 months (just started in May).
Citi: Tried; history too short.
I think it's in my best interest to garden until May 2016.
EDIT: I try Cap1 prequal and only QS1 and Platinum show up.

Yep, coming from an appoholic like myself, I recommend giving it another 6 mo to 1 yr before apping again.
You may get approved by Cap One for something, but it's not worth the triple HP.
You are off to a good start, keep it up!
Plus!
If this can de-motivate you anymore than it did me, take into consideration if you apply for that Quicksilver card, you will automatically receive 3 additional hard inquiries! Yikes!
