In my case, it may have had to do with my username.
I used my full name and the city I lived was listed in my sidebar.
I didn’t and still don't care about them.
Chase ruined my trip and I am still mad at them to this day.
(Go ahead Chase, close the last one. My socks are getting tired of the company anyways.)
I can't carry their card in my wallet because I can't be sure if it's going to work when I need it.
It's useless, other than as a AAoA placeholder with a little CL assistance.
I’m getting way OT here, Hijacking my own thread but...
To add insult to injury, after Chase closed both of my WaMu Cards with zero warning, for about 10 months they still mailed me monthly statements telling me the cards were still open with no balance.
At least I didn’t have Electronic Billing turned on so they had to pay for postage…a small vicrory.

That's absolutely crazy. Hope I never (again get on their bad side). I only like thrm because they have some nice travel reward cards.
and you're allowed to hijack your own thread. We do it all the time. Are you leaning towards NASA?
I would like to my next card to be an AMEX. I have 3.9 years of average credit card history with my oldest account being 9 years old. I had an AMEX many moons ago but am too afraid to pull the trigger because... well becaause I am. My credit scores are 757 / 750 and 750. Does anyone think I can take on AMEX? or should I wait. I have approximately 15 inquiries on experian, many due to fall off by summer, 2 on Equifax and 4 on Transunion? My last CC was JCPenney from Sept/October 2014.

I think you'll have a good chance at approval. You have a high amount of inquiries but Anex is the one card issuer that seems to overlook that.. They pull Experian exclusively. I'd go for it .
You can probably go for it, as Irish said Amex is forgiving with inquiries, but you may not get the best possibly rate or limit for your score.
15 inquiries is a lot, forgiving issuer or not, it's a lot. If you wait, you may get better terms instead of trying to get them improved later.

Incredible that they would do that just for something you posted.
