Re: What's Your Successful App Spree Strategy?

I'll echo the others: it's a bad idea to do an app spree. Years ago, when inquiries did not report instantly, there was possibly some (small) merit to an app spree. There is literally no advantage now, and banks are not happy to see you take on tons of new accounts in a short period.

But hey, it's your credit, your choice. I just don't see what kind of "strategy" you are looking for. You either do the apps or you don't. Not much of a stategy can be involved if you insist on doing them in short order. If you want my opinion, which you don't, do the Chase card (only) first and then lay low for awhile.

Sup, myFICO peeps!  Looking for specifics on tried and true, SUCCESSFUL app spree strategies...from YOUR first hand experience only.  Spreeing in 11 days for:  NFCU auto refi, CLOC, and MC Plat; Chase FU; and Citi Costo Anywhere (maybe Disco It Cash too).  Please be as clear and concise as you possibly can (like you're explaining to a 6 year old).  Cool?  Thanks in advance for your replies.  Deuces!  #KeepItReal

DPs:

732 Eq (6 iqs)

718 Ex (5 iqs)

647 TU ($812 collection I'm paying tomorrow and hopefully getting deleted, 4 iqs)

AA 1 yr 1 mo (auto loan 15 of 60 mo, Cap 1 Plat $197/3500, Cap 1 QS $0/$1000

OA 2 yr 1 mo (closed secured card)

*Scores will increase when $1400 posts to Cap 1 Plat and CRAs update in a few days?

Chase is the tricky one in here, as discussed. I got Chase while spreeing but had a thicker/longer profile. I also had established a banking relationship first (checking acct for a few months). Coin flip with them ( I would wait w/your profile. Maybe swap it out for AMEX, a good growth play?)

Navy will probably be fine, better once your TU clears up. I apped Navy for CC & CLOC on same day, both approved. Never used them for an auto loan but they are known a s being aggressive. A friend got a used car loan with a low 600 Fico.

Limited personal experience with Citi so no opinion.

Good luck.

Multi posts have been removed from this thread for being nonFSR and approaching flaming, not all that we removed were for a violation, posts that would make no sense standing alone are also removed when there is a problem with a series of posts that cause problems. There is no other way to make comments here on myFico but to maintain an FSR attitude and refrain from flaming in any way. Thanks for your understanding on all this.
