What should I do with my IT?

Approved for Discover IT in September with a 1200.00 limit and no introductory rate, 22.99% on all purchases.  My question is, should I close this card and reapply in a year or so when I am in the 700+?  Not sure if I would not qualify for the introductory rate if I've had the card in the past....  Got the 1200 on recon.....  Please advise!!

Call the automated number and see if you can get an SP CLI. Good luck!

Not worried about limit, just happy to get a card with them.  I know CLI's will come with time, just wondering if I close it now, does anyone know if I can reapply and get the 0% introductory rate in the future, say 6-12 months.

Re: What should I do with my IT?

Why not keep the card open then get another card in 6-12 months with 0%? That's what I would do. You will be able to lower that APR and get CLI over time from Discover no problem,

This strategy doesn't sound like a good one. You might have to change how you view credit.

+1.   There's tons of cards that offer 0% intro rates.  Better to do that instead of churning Discover for one.

Well to be frank. Looks like they are trying different approach now. Instead of 0% apr. They are now giving cash as sign up. Unless your social change I'm pretty sure even if you close and reopen they will not give bonus. So just keep it as others said.  Otherwise everyone would be closing and re applying all the time. Good luck
