I plan on staying in the garden until November to let most of my inquiries become >1 year old. I want to add a couple cards to my lineup. I would like at least 1 card from each main company so I'm thinking of getting a Barclaycard, a Citi, and another AMEX. I was thinking about the Sallie Mae but it's kind of redundant since I have the BCE. I'm not sure what cards other Barclays offers with good cash back. I barely travel at all (once a year if I'm lucky) so cash back is more appealing to me. That's why I was thinking Citi Double Cash? It's a constant 2% so that's pretty good. As far as AMEX goes I'm not sure what I would be interested in. I'm trying to stay away from annual fees. Any thoughts/comments/suggestions are much appretiated!
You have plenty of time to think on what cards you want.
Maybe, someone out there may have come up with a better card than Citi DC in November?
Amex ED, Blue Sky does not have fees. So you don't travel much.
All the best-!!!!!
Sallie Mae may be redundant, but the returns are still better than BCE and the caps are small enough so that your BCE won't become obselete. Or if your spending on those categories are low you can always get the Sallie Mae card and PC the BCE to something else. You shouldn't forget about Sallie Mae's 5% cashback on Amazon year round. Regardless though, the CIti Double Cash is a decent card to get. I don't know if it'll be nerfed anytime soon. You can always get the Amex Fidelity, but if you do, there's no point in getting the Double Cash. The Barclay Arrival+ pretty much works like a cash back card. You can do what a lot of people here do and get it, get the sign-up bonus, and cancel it before the AF kicks in the second year. Plenty of choices my friend.
