I've done a pretty good job of getting my credit back in shape over the past 26 months. After starting over with a $200 secured card from CapOne, i moved quickly to some pretty big approvals with Chase ($29k over three cards) and BofA ($15k) and nothing under $3,000 on any other card. I'm looking at buying a new bike and figured it would be nice to put it on an introductory zero interest card to pay it over time if necessary. I saw I was prequalified for a US Bank Cash+ card with 12 months interest free on purchases. I hit the apply button and was approved. For $500. I've read that USB is pretty stingy but $500 seems ridiculously low. After getting that message, I rejected the offer. Burned a TU pull but learned my lesson on USB.
You should have accepted and called for a CLI immediately, since you had already taken the hard pull, many have had success this way.
That was a typo that has been corrected. Thanks.
US Bank is pretty conservative .When approved it was one of my lower limits and although it has grown, it is still one of my lower limits.
You could have reconned for a high limit.
The wheels on the bike I'm looking at are $500+ I have a friend who paid $15k for a bike recently. I'm not that crazy but $500 doesn't get you a lot of bike these days.
If you're talking bicycles, you must be looking at Yeti or something along those lines?
