What time period should I apply for multiple cc's?

Should I make all attempts in a mont's time, couple weeks, or should I wait months in between applying?

I just applied for a SDFCU secured card on Monday, and will receive the card next week. This will be the only card I currently have. I want to build my credit and score, and I'm reading where being accepted for and using cards responsibly will help.

What unsecured cards do you know will approve:

EQ bank score 8- 582 score 5- 600

TU 8- 607, 5- 641

EX 8- 601  2- 653

All these scores should go up once the secured card, and the authorized user on a Lowes card with over 12 years and good history gets reported. Also, what is gardening?

All help appreciated.

Your chance for an unsecured card look pretty slim.  Wait months before applying to get your score up a bit. Also, is your report clean without any baddies?  I'd add another secure card if I were in your shoes - CAP 1 or BOA.

No, my report has a few medical collections. Other than that, EQ is showing far more inquiries than the other two. I will take your advise and apply for a CAP 1 secured card. I will let you know what the updated scores look like after the secured card and authorized user gets calculated into my score.

Thanks

Thanks for your honesty... Definately get the CAP 1 secured and hold off applying while cleaning the baddies of your reports.  Treat those cards well and your report will improve.  Also, if you haven't check the rebuilding sub- section here, take a peek there as it has a wealth of information.....

Is the CAP 1 a soft pull? If not, do you know of any other cards that are?

Cap One normally hits ALL 3 CRAs.

Re: What time period should I apply for multiple cc's?

I went with secured cards from Wells Fargo and US Bank. Wells Fargo has an awesome cell phone insurance plan whereby if you pay your monthly cell phone bill (with any provider) with your WF Visa, they'll cover up to 4 devices on your plan for $600.00 with a $25.00 deductible. I'm saving $40.00 a month now that I've dropped my Verizon insurance on my families cell phones & tablets.
Both these secured cards will graduate you with good payment history in a year and they report to all 3 CR's. After 3 month's of these cards reporting, I just got a Cap One card with 5K CL. I'm very satisfied with both secured cards. I'd definitely recommend going with a major banks secured card vs some of the other's who do not state they will graduate you.
