What type of Experian FICO does Amex pull??

Hey guys! so I applied and was approved for my Blue Cash Preferred Card roughly a week ago. I received my shiny new card in the mail today and on the paper that comes with it was my credit score of 683! When I applied I am 100% certain my Experian FICO 8 was 707. I was a bit surprised and baffled by this and really thankful that I was approved.

The weird thing is I got the message upon applying that said I will receive an answer within 7 to 10 days. Roughly 12 hours later I got the approval. Next day after the approval, my credit score dropped over 20 points because Capital One surprisingly reported my two new cards at 80% utilization waaay before I thought they would. I was planning on paying off the Capital One cards before they reported. Weird thing is that the score that Experian dropped to was 683. So either Myfico was very late in reporting, Amex pulled a different type of FICO score, or Amex pulled the credit report after giving me the 7 to 10 Day message. What do you guys think happened? Just very curious.
Doesn't really matter now, but an 24 pt difference is a big jump. Super lucky I got in bc I never would've had the balls to apply at 683 just out of fear. At least at CLI time my score will look extra good to them lol

Congrats on your approval.  I get CCT Experian and the FICO score on Amex is the same as CCT, so I'm assuming it is FICO 8.

As others said, definitely Fico8. Not sure where you get your alerts, if you pulled a report+score that morning, or if you rely on myfico(generally a day late I'm scoring purposes, but still good). Whatever report they pulled was live, no reason for any delay. When did you get your report? It's far too big of a coincidence that the score they pulled was in the same range as your 'new' Fico score.
When you say 'the next day' do you mean you got an alert for myfico the next day about your score drop? Myfico is just always one day behind.
