What??  What did the message say?  Did you apply through the pre-approval?  Which card did you apply for?

Ok.. Sorry to hear. Amex pre-equals are very solid.  All is not lost yet.. I suggest you call and  try to recon it / have it manually review.  If you really want it, recon it as you have taken the hard pull.

Also let them know you were pre qual for it. I know it's not a guarantee, but it may help.
