When to apply for AMEX BCE?

Things have been going pretty well with my rebuilding from a thin file beginning in April this year. I started out with the DiscoverIT secured and Cap1 secured and then added a Walmart store card a couple months later when my FAKOs showed 665 TU and EQ. At the beginning of August TU was up to 681 and EQ685. Experian Fico was 653, and I was prequalified for AMEX green and got an immediate approval when I did the app. I'm wondering now if I should have double-apped like some here have done, because I really want one of the Blue Cash revolving cards. Is it too soon with my short history to try for it? I should have all my true FICOs reporting in a couple more months, but AMEX seemed eager to give me the green card, so I don't know.

I think you'll get a better SL if you wait for a few statements to post on your current card.

Thanks. That's kind of what I thought. It's hard to be patient, but maybe by November or December I'll have more options.

I think I waited after 3 statements cut and then was approved for a $10,000 SL

Wow, very nice SL. I don't expect anywhere near that, but I'll probably apply at around the 3rd statement cut for my green card. The first one just cut last week, so by late October I'll give it a try. My other cards will have a good six months on them by then too.
