I'd call them. Tell them you may consider moving some limit from your current card as well, in order to have a card more useful to your spending.

Re: Which Card(s) to Apply For?

I'll probably call when I get back home.  As soon as I posted the previous comment I got an alert from Credit Karma that PenFed had pulled my EQ credit report.

Re: Which Card(s) to Apply For?

LOL...speaking of impatience...I'm in a public place so I didn't call as Gmood1 suggested and I just got this email from PenFed:

"Would you consider a reduction in credit limit of current PenFed Promise Visa credit line to accommodate this request? If so, by how much would member like to reduce the limit?"

Of course it arrived after their weekend office hours so I'll call first thing in the morning.  It appears that I have it and its only a matter of reallocating some of my current CL.

Well at least you know you're approved for it. Maybe they'll tack some extra on to what you move. That's why I normally call in to PenFed, in order to give them my sales pitch. lol
My sales pitch got me an extra $14k.

Re: Which Card(s) to Apply For?

I've never called before; always used the online option.  So now I have to wait some more but at least it will give me some time to polish my pitch.  I apped as an individual but I'm wondering if since I live in a community property state whether they'd would consider my wife's income and possibly increase what they are preparing to offer.  I really don't need large limits or even more credit but now its a matter of keeping score. Smiley Happy The online application form is odd; it asks if youre applying alone or with another person.  Once you choose that you're applying alone it is auto-completed and there is no way I could see to change the income numbers they already had on file from when I applied for membership.

Yes add her income in as well. It will make a difference.

Re: Which Card(s) to Apply For?

I certainly will; hopefully it wouldn't screw up the process. Thanks again for all the guidance.
