I recently open an account with NFCU. Yesterday a CS called me to "welcoming" to the CU. She also asked me if I wanted to apply for a CC. I told her I was in the process of rebuilding my credit and I have only 3 CC with low limits (less than 400). She told me that in that case my best bet was to apply to the Platinum card. After the call ended I reviewed the NFCU website and I noticed that they have 4 different CCs, Cash Reward, Go Reward, Signature and Platinum. My question is: Which of the CCs gets the easiest approval? I'm wondering if I should call them and change the type of card I want if the platinum is not the most commun CC. Please let me know...
Most common applied for would be the cash rewards but maybe she was trying to guide you based on the information you provided to her.
You may be right. I noticed that all the CC except Signature have similar rates and benefits. She told me that the application was under review (not a good sign) and I should know more tomorrow...Looking forward to hear from them. Planning to do a recon call if denied.
I wouldnt give up hope yet. Alot of apps go under review. Sometimes they just want you to provide POI.
That will be awesome! My highest CL is $400 with Capital One. Still waiting

Let us know how it goes.
Update! This morning I found a message in my inbox. The card was denied. I called to find out the reasons and the CS told me that they cant tell me the reason of denial over the phone. She told me that I should receive a letter in 7 days explaining the reasons why the bank did not issue the CC. I guess I have to keep using my other CCs and paying the full balance for a few months an re-apply. For the most seasoned NFCU members, How long should I wait before resubmit the application?
Thanks
