Which bureau pulled...

I am not too familiar with how credit card lenders make their decisions. When i applied with lets say chase and they pull mu credit report, do they only see the bureau they pulled from ( where the hard pull is showing) for example transunion or they have access to all 3 reporting bureaus ( exp, equifax n trans. ?

Re: Which bureau pulled...

They only see the bureau they pulled from. Some lenders pull multiple bureaus. You can also google the "credit pulls database" to see which lenders pull what bureau.

+1

AMEX, e.g., seems to almost always pull Experian, but for all others, you might want to check that database because it differs from one part of the country to another.

From what I have seen on here, Capital One almost always triple pulls (i.e. all 3 bureaus), while Chase and Citi often double pull (Chase more so than Citi).

Most of the lenders seem to have a specific bureau they are known to pull from but they can and will randomly pull from any of them at times,. As said already, some pull multiple at a time.
