Hi All, I'm pretty new to the boards, having spent most of my time perusing the "rebuilding your credit threads". I wanted to mosey over here to get some advice about which card I should try for now to start making my positive credit history more robust. I just did PFD with 4 medical collections accounts and paid a $500 charge off I had on a Capital One card. After my reports get updated I will have 1 PAID 3 year old collection account from an old apartment and 2 unpaid (verizon and progressive) that I am still trying to negotiate PFD for, along with the charge off from Cap One that will now be marked as PAID. My income is $90,000 and my AAoA is 6 years with oldest account 14 years old (Discover). Any thoughts on which cards I might have a good shot at getting approved for? I'm planning to start apping around June depending on how quickly my reports are updated. My current scores are EQ 601/TU 609/EX 610. Thanks in advance!

If your scores stay where they are now you're going to be limited but it's possible that Cap One will give you another card. They have a very short memory. Your scores need to be closer to the 659-660 range where you'll have a good shot at other cards but any charges offs still on your report will hurt you so definitely focus on those PFDs.
Are your collection PFDs deleted from your credit reports yet?

No not yet I just got the agreements this week. I am just in planning mode for the near future trying to get my ducks in a row. I am hoping that once the deletions are reflected and my C/O status updates to "paid in full" that I will see a score bump. *crosses fingers*
I wouldn't bank on it. No scoring difference for paid c/o in scoring mattrs. You may actually we a drop due to the updated status
I currently have an account in collections with Cap1, which has been sold to Midland CA..
They approved me for 3 different cards
I would definitely start with CapitalOne..
