Amex is very generous starting limit, but my score on ex at time was over 750. You MIGHT want to garden, and work on getting the baddies off the reports that are holding your scores down, I had to do a secured card with my credit union to start, and that for over a year to get anywhere with others. Nothing like taking a breather between apps for score growth,
