So my mom was in Kroger a week ago and was approached to apply for the Kroger 123 Rewards credit card. She did apply, and was told she would receive a decision in the mail. She got her denial today and feels terrible and wishes she had held off until she asked who the card was underwritten by, looked up minimum scores for acceptance, etc. So in the spirit of not making her feel as if she is the only one who has ever made a rash decision in applying and lived to regret it.... I will ask if you have ever had a, Why the heck did I just app for that?!?!? Moment. She is feeling pretty down in herself at the moment.
I'm sure most of us have been there and done that. It's a temporary bad feeling and she will move on. It's life, and rejection happens, but so does acceptance and acceptance will happen when the time is right. At least all she lost was an Inquiry. It's just a credit card and life is too short to live with that kind of regret. Tell mom to cheer up, she's in good company and the sun will rise tomorrow.

LOL! This made me giggle...and I certainly needed that this evening.
As mentioned, I'm sure a lot of us here have experienced such feeling. The one that sticks out the most to me was my Old Navy card. Before joining this forum and learning a lot, I app'd for this card thinking I would get the Visa version. Welp...ended up with the store card and the only thing I can wear from Old Navy at the time was socks LOL...they didn't sell a dang thing at the time in my size. Years ago I was really big boy...now some years later and down to 134 pounds from my scale topping 281, I can finally fit into some of the things they sell. Unfortunately I no longer have any interest in anything they sell...and the card has long since been closed. Tell your mom not to feel bad...we've all been there, done that, and some of us at some point will probably do it again.

Hahaha....good stuff.
I applied for a Spirit World MasterCard today. Nuff said. I did resist the temptation to accept the preapproval for a Sam's card at the register the other day so there's there's that. It happens. I don't know what else to say. 😁
Too funny Woodyman. Made my evening 😂
