Why do all my chase apps go to pending before getting approved a week or so later??

Third time this year... First, Slate, Second Freedom, and now United. 

Always get the 30 day message. I actually thought United was going to be a denial, but I logged into my online banking and poof there it was.. Still havent gotten the card. 

My wife apped for the CSP and was instant approved for 25.3k. Yet every time I app chase I get the 30 day message, yet get approved about a week or so later...

Any Idea why this is?

Insta approved for $16k AARP and $15k freedom.

I would love to know this as well....not that I have a Chase card currently but my United is pending 30 Day msg with the robo lady. This may be a precursor to may futer apps I have with Chase!   I would love for them to let me in for xmas!

I have had instant approvals on my only 3 chase cards.  I'm thinking things have changed recently and expect the same "30 day" msg when I app for #4.

Curious to know myself, longest I had to wait is 7 grueling days. My only instant approval was my 1st Chase card, #2,3,4 I had to wait 1-7 days, eventually all approved. I was denied for #5 because I submitted 3 apps within 30 days (don't do that). I think you are limited to 2 apps within 30 days. I'm currently on #6 app...sent it last night in a hotel ...got the 2 wk status and keeping fingers crossed. Here we go....

If you have ever burned Chase or a bank they have bought previously you will most likely never get an auto approval and this is true even if the cards no longer can be reported on your CR .

Same for me... I have 3 Chase cards and all were with extra verification and all with  double pulls ... I guess I know what to expect on my next app .

I have 11 Chase cards. 10 out of 11 were double pull EX/ TU, one was single pull TU. No application has ever been an instant approval for me. I burned Chase back in 2003.

I used to get Automatic Approvals all the time until the limit on my Marriott Card went over $30K. Now everytime I app I get the 30 day message and I have to call and speak to the Verification Department before approvals, but have not been denied for a new card.
