Why is the Credit Union thread locked??

What possible benefit does locking the Credit union thread serve?

It's one of the most helpful and beneficial threads on these boards.  There isn't anything offensive about it in any way.  

Member after member has posted how much they appreciate the thread.

Mods, I'm kindly requesting for that thread to be unlocked.

The user who started the thread hasn't been on in a while to update the thread.  Threads over a year old with no updates / progress are often locked.

Well I guess I'm baffled too. It was a ongoing thread that we've been posting in periodically and for several days now. Alrighty then. Lol

The fact that the OP is MIA, does not detract from the usefulness of the thread. Any poster is able to update the thread by contributing to it. 

The auto loan approvals, and Fico high Achievers threads are also over a year old, but there usefulness is timeless.  

Please unlock the Credit union thread.  It's usefulness is timeless.

The thread was indeed packed with valuable info. However, I am sure the mod had his reason for closing it. So, just bookmark it for future reference and let's move on. If no one volunteers to start a new one, I will start a new Master CU thread and we can continue collecting data there. Okey dokey?😉

That's great Baller, I'm all for you starting a New one, and I'm sure it'll be better organized and have a better title for sure, but if we don't know "why" it was locked, there only going to lock yours down once it gets a little momentum.

I don't think it was locked for lack of momentum grillandwinemaster. We have threads several years old still going strong. Some constantly updated. Some not so much. Many of my own threads are unearthed from the dead. Often times an OP that is no longer active on the forums and don't want the notifications of comments any longer will request a thread be closed. That may be the case here. Regardless the reason, we can keep it going! 😉 No worries.
