Ive had the green card since January. I have used it monthly and paid as agreed. I have a reasonable score for AMEX BCE, but when I applied they SHUT ME DOWN!!
Thankfully it's a soft with them, but I don't even want the green and it's getting the ax before the AF this year even if I can't score a revolver.
The only thing I can think of is that I have a bunch (like 8) paid collections from '11 and 12. I do have one unpaid collection which I don't intend to pay.
I bought a house, got some great cards including AMEX green with these collections, but cannot get that AMEX revolver.
any hope?

I would get the EX score above 700 then apply again, the BCE and BCP have a higher and tougher guideline. However some have gotten it with scores similiar to yours though.
The underwriting criteria for Amex revolvers is more stringent than it is for the charge cards. Many people get a charge but get denied for revolvers. All you can do is wait it out.
Funny I couldnt' get the green at one point but could get the revolvers aka delta initially, never tried after that card for a charge card.. Sure I probably could get a charge card now, but prefer the revolvers and don't feel like a CC with AF from Amex anymore. They are weird sometimes!
