Current fico scores are in the 670s across the board. I only have 2 cards at the moment. Card 1 utilizing 80% of a $250 limit on a 6-month financing plan(overstock won't cli for anything) and the other card is cap1 utilizing 30% of $1300.The AAOA is 6 months with my oldest account being 7 months old. No baddies file is clean.
Do I have good chances of being approved for the Amex Everyday Card or Discover IT?
Well you have high utilization and age of accounts working againt you. I would wait till the one year mark and bring your utilization down. 80% utilization alone might be enough for amex to say no. Discover.... They are like my DW, I never know what they are thinking
I would bring down the HU. I'm currently at 35% and waiting for the 0% to show up before applying for an Amex and Chase. My scores are in the signature.
I'd bring down the utilization to 10% or so and wait another 5+ months to hit 1 year AAoA.
I went through some credit woes during college and am just now working to clear things up...my scores are in the 640 range and I had relatively high utilization and got approved for Amex BCE with some baddies stlil on my EX report...but my AAoA is around 7 years (oldest accoutn is 14) and I have 18 months of perfect payment records. I also had an Amex in 05 that was PIF and closed at some point years ago.
So...your score might suffice...but they really do look at the bigger picture.
I got approved for Discover It with 670 TU and 61 percent overall util, but I was denied Amex ED (Later approved for 2 Amex cards with 30% util).

2 new accounts coupled with 1 card almost maxed out would not be favorable for you. Bring the util down to almost nothing then go for it. Discover doesn't mind new profiles nor does AMEX
