Sorry credit noob here. Anyways, a year ago I wanted to get the new iPhone and was interested in the Barclay Apple Rewards card to finance it. I applied there for my first card and (obviously) got declined due to no credit history; and they said the same thing when I reconed three times.
So I went to my bank (Bank of America) and they approved me for a student card with $700 limit that I've been using well for four months now. My score is 680 atm and I'm wondering is it now long enough of having credit to apply for the Barclay card again? I only have 1 hard inquiry and no late payments, will I get accepted? Or should I wait it out two more months?
Not for Barclay.
MUCH better cards out there and most of them will give you the 0% for the same amount of time or longer for a new purchase.
go to capitalone.com and check for pre-qualified offers... those are GOLDEN
Apply for 2 back to back if you are pre-qualified (venture, Quick Silver are best)
Same for Chase.com - see if you are pre-qualified there... also golden for approval if you have an offer.
i would wait a whole year with the card you have now, and build history!
Barclays likes 6-12 months payment history (the closer to 1 year+ the better) so I would wait. After your card has reported for at least 6 months, you could try for another card if you'd like (check out Capital One; they're good for starter cards -- check out the student Visa, Journey).
Quicksilver $10,000 | Better Balance Rewards $2000 | Sallie Mae $3500 | Freedom $3500

Unless you plan on buying tons of apple products for the rest of your life, I'd look at other cards that might give you a better reward. I'd also wait for a year of history before applying for anything else (but I understand this is just preference). As someone else suggested, Capital One would have some decent cards you might want to look at. I recommend them because they're a bit more lenient (and tolerable) for thinner credit profiles.
Last but not least, never apologize for being "new" to something, simply use it as an opportunity to learn.

I got the Apple card three years ago to finance an iPad. The card is essentially a one-time-use card. You only get 0% financing at Apple's whim. As soon as I paid off my iPad I moved the trade line to another Barclays card I had and closed my Apple account. As others have said - there are plenty of better cards out there offering 0% for 18 months. Stay away from the Apple card is my advice.

Would those back to back for capitol one end up in a double 3 CB pull?

nope that's the whole point of back to back is they use the orginal pulls.
Good to know about cap1, I always thought they did a triple pull every single time no matter what. Thanks CA
