Re: Worth appealing Chase CSP CLI denial?

Update: approved for an $800 increase to $10k! I got a voicemail from Lending Services, and called back. I explained to the agent I'm wanting to upgrade to Sapphire Reserve in the future once travel opens up, and would like to get to the minimum credit line needed, so that I could upgrade without another credit pull. He was understanding and said he'd have to pull my credit, as, since my request was initially auto-declined, no pull was made at the time. I was surprised as I thought it was HP whenever you request a CLI no matter what! I confirmed it was fine, then agent came back saying he couldn't pull Transunion. I have an ITIN instead of an SSN, but I've requested my credit file from transunion before and it's reporting fine, so I suppose it was a system issue. This was actually what saved me! As I assumed they had already pulled my credit when I first requested the CLI and recon would base their decision on that, I applied for the Apple Card a few days ago in order to finance an apple purchase in the future, and Apple Card HPs transunion if you accept, which I did (only a $900 limit, but apparently you can SP request a CLI every 90 or so days). The agent then asked if they could pull EQ or EX and I said that was fine. He then came back and confirmed my source of income. Another brief hold and he congratulated me on my $800 CLI! Hope these data points are helpful!

@cupofcoffee,

Congratulations on your "Recon" CLI !

Thanks for the update @cupofcoffee.  Glad to hear things worked out with getting the CLI approved.
