I currently have a discover IT student card & my limit is 1000 dollars. I just hit my 6months which i got an email. Is it too soon to ask for a cli? I pay my balance off in full every month. I use this card to pay for my braces so atleast use 200 on the card monthly or a little under.

I think so! You're using at least 20% of your limit each month. It's a soft pull so I don't think you have anything to lose asking! Best wishes to you if you do end up asking.

Sure, why not? It's a soft pull.

There is no downside to requesting CLIs with Discover. With that said, I might still wait another month or two. No reason, just a feeling. But Discover does like to see spend, still there's no ryhme or reason behind their decisions.
Both times that I received a 1k increase, I had like $1100 spend a month. Then stopped spending, didn't get anything until a random $500 increase like 6 months later.
Definately worth a shot, its a SP and it sounds like you'd be in good shape for one. Keep us updated!
