Re: bLISpAY rejected!!!

I personally wasn't applying for the 2% cash back, I have a citi double cash. I was applying for the 6 mo financing options. With larger purchases that would be a great option instead of trying to get 0% across my major cards.

Re: bLISpAY rejected!!!

So it was bugging me and I broke down and called in.  They asked for address which I gave (street address).  She said that's not what the report shows.  I said that is where I live and have lived for over 20 years.  She said have you lived at another address?  After arguing for a minute I said the street address I gave is where I live but I get mail at my PO Box since we are in a small town but I am not on a rural route for mail delivery.  I gave her the PO Box number.  She said this is what we show. I was looking at my Experian report and it shows my street address.  I reminded her during the brief application process it stated you had to have a street address no PO Box. Then she asked for two credit card accounts that show up on my credit report.  I gave her four, she said she saw two of them so she was ok with that.  She then said you will get a 7-10 day letter telling you if you are approved or denied.  She asked if I had any questions.  I said do you factor in income in making your decision, she asked what is your income so I told her.  She said I will make sure "they" see this.  I said if you going to deny me why not do it now, it is what it is. Of course she said the letter would come out.  I said ok thank you. Perhaps they have an analyst reviewing call in verifications. That might be the "they."

It was something I didn't much like about the customer service rep.  She was not rude but the conversation just seemed off, I can't put my finger on it. I always feel wierd when "they" are mentioned and I don't know who "they" are.

I also asked since she was concerned about my address if she would like me to send in verification of residence and identity and she said no.

If i have to hazard a guess I would say it will be a denial. It seems like if everything does not match to a "T" on your online application  and the bureau you won't get instant computer approval.  If you have to call in I felt even with me giving them the correct verifiable info to compare to the report the fact a manual verification was required it does not sit well.  This is just my opinion, I have nothing to support this statement.

They do use Experian.  No alert has popped since yesterday evening when I applied and I have three set up so one should have picked it up by now.  She seemed to have a report she was looking at so maybe there is a delay in tthe alerts.

I played it out now I will move on.

Re: bLISpAY rejected!!!

My alert showed up a little while ago.  I was suprised that under type of credit it showed a personal loan on the inquiry.  I was assuming it would say credit card like the others.  Congrats on your approval.

interesting how they are asking people to call in only to give them 7-10 day message.

Haven't heard anything else.  Assuming it's a denial.  Decided not to grovel since it was just a whim anyway. Waiting on the letter. Congrats to you.

Re: bLISpAY rejected!!!

Has anyone actually gotten an approval in a 7 - 10 day letter.  With all the online and telephone approvals and no request for mailed or uploaded verifications I assume that the letters are reserved for denials.  I am waiting on mine after calling them in response to their message to call in within 5 days.  After giving them the info on the phone they informed me of the letter.

Denied as well.  EX=675.  I have a few INQ recently and was approved for Delta AMEX in FEB16 and Cabelas last week.  They should not be able to see my Cabelas INQ (EQ) as it has not reported yet.

FICO 08 JUL23: TU 850; EQ 846; EX 843. Clean since BK7 D/C 6/2011.

cem13, I'd like to know how in the heck you got approved for the Delta AMEX with a BK that recent. I didn't know that was even possible. Good job! I had AMEX back in 1995 that was burned. Did you ever burn them?
