I hope you take this as constructive but you mention that you're trying to garden yet you have started quite a few recent threads asking about various cards, including Chase, AMEX and now Barclays.  I also saw where you talked about your income and current credit card debt.  Please don't keep applying for cards just to have thrm and put yourself in a bad position.  I know it doesn't seem like a lot but when your credit card debt starts to reach 10% of your income you are getting into possible dangerous territory.  Interest charges can mount up quickly and too many people find themselves in credit card he** in a short time.

just a suggestion and I hope you're not offended.

Your rights, me and a couple others got to stay away from apping for a while or at least as you say pay down some debt (or all) and then consider other cards . At the end of the day if I'm buying a tv on a 22 interest cc , by the time I finish it off I could of bought 4 tv's  . But you just open my eyes I'm going to try to stay away from these threads for a while or at least until I could either

a) get my income up

b)pay down some debts including car

You're not alone in getting carried away.  We all tend to do it from time to time.  If you get your debts down like you said then applying for a rewards card like the US Air card cab be a good idea.  I know from personal experience how easy it is to get in over your head with cc debt.  You're already ahead of a lot of people because you visit these boards and can get advice.  Hang in there and work on your cc debt and car loan and you'll be so much better off.

Not to completely disagreee with the Leprechan guy, there can be exceptions to increasing CC debt but, maintaining a low utilization. I've increased my total CLs to over $25K and plan to use 0% APR BT for ~$2K. Granted, it will create 40% util on one card but, maintain my overall under 8% AND if it significanly reduces my scores, I'll just pay it off.

I have the $$ but, why not use their money at 0%?

I honestly can't believe I'm in a position to even type these words. $1100 CL to >$25K in 2 1/2 months!

11/14/14 Total CL $1,100; 6/30/15 Total CL $180K
