well i tested your theory. $3k QS again but the venture was only $5k this time instead of $10k. oh well. i don't get why they even approved me again. kinda weird
$400 + $100 isn't bad for a day's work! ![]()
Congrats!
(Let us know if it's one set of HPs!)

yeah lol. jw but can you combine the rewards between ventures at 6 months or just the CLs?
They stopped allowing folks to move rewards from one account to another a while back (I think around last Sepember?)
I'm sure you can figure out some way to make it work, though... ![]()
As a last resort, try a small transaction with the MileagePlus X app like some folks do with the PRG. If a small transaction is successful, you're golden. ![]()
If you're feeling 'charitable' purchase a small Amazon GC using the MileagePlus X app and let us know if Capital One treats it like a 'travel' purchase.
It codes as an 'airline' purchase on Amex, and I'm wondering if it codes similarly on Visa...

what on earth is this mileageplus x app lol
It's by United Airlines... it's used to earn miles on United by making purchases (similar to an online portal, but it's an app). Purchases made through the app are processed under the 'airline' category... I think you can see where I'm going. ![]()
Folks have figured out that they can buy Amazon gift cards with the app using their PRG and Amex processes it like an airline incidental, reimbursing up to the usual $100 (most folks make two $50 purchases). It's said to work equally well for the Platinum reimbursement. (This is similar to the much-discussed purchasing of airline gift cards, but using the app you can get Amazon (or other) gift cards instead).
If this holds true for transactions processed by Visa, folks who don't have travel purchases to 'erase' on Venture might be able to simply buy an Amazon (or other) gift card with the app and use Venture 'miles' to cover the charge.
Here's a link on FW where the app is discussed (starts around 8th post):
