So I recently started rebuilding my credit currently is experian 674 or 688 according to both amex and discover score card. My current cards are credit one bank with a 550 cl, amex everyday 1000 cl and barclay rewards for 1400 also a AU on my moms chase freedom cl 12k. currently have 2 derogs a chargeoff for 1700 from 2012 and a judgement from 2012 that im paying on only have 500 or less left. Just want to know my chances for getting approved for a chase freedom or freedom unlimited to get my foot in the door at chase.
If you were able to get $1000 out of AMEX I would think you'd be able to get at least that out of Chase. Chase is a little more lenient than AMEX when it comes to underwriting. If you haven't thought about it you might want to scope out NFCU and how to join through Navy League since they seem to like profiles like yours. They tend to give higher limits than Chase ever would and the APR is lower. Might be worth jumping through the hoops of joining.
Agreed check out NFCU once you get a higher limit card you can apply for Chase in a few months and they may give you higher limit then if you were to apply now.
