Ok so I was a week shy of 6 months, that's why they denied me. They have since gave me a $300 credit increase on my secured card that was initially a $200 limit. Does that credit increase mean I have a good chance getting a qs1 now since its past the 6 months? They didn't report a inquiry since they couldn't issue a new account anyway.
i would personally wait another 30 days. That app was denied without your credit pulled and when you submit that app I am sure you is going to get a reason of current app pending or processing. I know, I have done this with Capital One. Just give it more time.
ok, so i'm not a patient person, i went ahead and re applied for the QS1 just now and got it!!!! Small $500 limit, but hey you got to rebuild and start somewhere. Would i be able to call them and ask for a higher limit?

Congrats .. I pretty much doubt you could get a higher limit at this point , 500 is pretty standard on whst they would start someone out on unsecured, you could always call and try doesn't hurt to ask , this will be a credit steps card , if you haven't already become familiar with the credit steps process I would look it up and read up on it.
+1
I never discourage anybody from trying to get what they want, but from the many threads on here I don't think I ever recall a single time where somebody was able to recon a starting credit line with Capital One... they just aren't known for that.
There's always a first time, though... I welcome anybody to always check for themselves. Just manage your expectations so that you aren't disappointed if it doesn't work out.

Agree with UncleB and have not heard of a single instance of SL recon with Capital One. Certainly never hurts to try and at least you'll feel that you gave it your best shot.
Everyone was right, no CLI. However it never hurts to try! It seems like a decent card, however i would like 1 more card to have 3. Can anyone recommend another card to try for? all 3 fico 8 scores are 620's. Or is that about it for my tier?
