Given the current situation with defaults, you will find more and more smaller institutions like CU's and regional banks requesting POI. I always expect POI to be requested for any LOC and am shocked when they don't.  LOC's are inherently more risky for the lender and they want to make sure you can pay what they approve your line for. There are obviously some exceptions to the rule, such as NFCU. Which rarely asks for POI outside of Mortgage lending.

I will happily provide proof of income to borrow against a 10-11% interest rate, especially in today's overpriced finance world. Just my two cents.

Curious what your approval limit was for the PLOC. I dont see a lot of CUs offering more than 10k initially.

True. I only have $3k from Affinity FCU, but did get $15k from BCU and now $25k from Jovia.

Re: jovia poi withdraw

I mean you applied to a CU knowing they can request POI. If your application and income matches it is not a big deal.

Re: jovia poi withdraw

That's fair, however they mentioned they didn't want to send POI so they withdrew...

Re: jovia poi withdraw

exactly lol. dont get people. I just got a 20k CC from them, without further info so its still a win. Its just my preference, i literally said 'they have the right to ask' and i also have the right not to provide. And No it did not affect my CC approval if wondering, all is good. its just my preference when I have demonstrated flawless history and high fico scores i *Think* my opinion, that thats all a creditor needs, other than proof of address/identity in certain situations. Opinions are good because their different. & your own! Smiley Happy

I'd rather not do poi either.  What do they want, winning tickets from the track, a note from lite fingers lou, the bookie?
