overstock.com denial??

I haven't received the pop up from overstock.com so I decided to cold app anyways since I do a lot of shopping there. I got " application is under review, we will contact you within 10 days". ..is this a flat out denial?

Re: overstock.com denial??

Comenity might need to validate info- especially if you've recently moved or you have a known alias. A known alias could be something like someone misspelling your name in an internal document which sometimes shows up on your credit report.

Re: overstock.com denial??

Hi and thanks for the info.  I did all that with overstock.com.  checked the shipping same as billing address box. No pop up. Tried calling the backdoor numb for comenity but had to leave name and number. Can never reach a live rep there.

Re: overstock.com denial??

Update. ...I called the backdoor number for comenity bank.  Found it on the sticky thread. While the customer service representative was nice she couldn't give me any information.  Said I'd have to wait for a letter. I find it hard to believe that they can't tell you anything?  Anyone know of a better number to try?  I did find out equifax had a fraud alert on my report as I'm disputing information. Called equifax and they are removing the alert within 48 hours.  Could that be the reason for the non approval?

Ok thanks. .couldn't they have told me that over the phone?  Do you think I will get a denial or will it be a letter requesting more information?  Never had this happen before.

Creditaddict would be the man that can answer this question as he knows them well... Not sure of all the hoops you might have to jump through.  Hopefully someone more familiar with them will ring in on this subject
