overstock.com pop up

I received the pop up preapproval while on overstock.com.  I clicked yes I'm interested,  and it took me to a message stating to take advantage of the overstock.com credit card offer I must sign in or create an account.  I logged in with my already created account information then I got thank you your application is submitted and you will receive an answer by mail within  10 days. Huh? Anyone know what that means?

Re: overstock.com pop up

I had the same thing happen to me on the Sportsman Guide website a couple weeks ago. I just got the letter today and it said that the pre-approval information was different so they wouldn't be extending credit at this time. You might be lucky and they just need to verify your info. Or you may be like me and get a denial. I hope it's the former. Good luck!

Seems to be happening more these days! Smiley Sad  It could mean they just need to verify some info.  Maybe give them a call and ask if they need info. to verify, it's worth the call to get peace of mind!

Call them.  Seriously.  It happened to me a few months ago with Gamestop.  They had my old mailing address and that was what they used to offer the preapproval and when I filled out everything with my current address, that caused a conflict.  I got a letter over a month later and it said the same as you stated above.  I called in and it took about 15 seconds to straighten it out and I was approved.

Re: overstock.com pop up

Thanks. Hopefully it'll be as simple as that. Did you call the recon number or just their regular customer service number?
