overstock mastercard by citibank

Hi,

I apply today for a citibank overstock mastercard and I receive a ref number and a phone # to call

I called them. After ask for reference number and my name. they said that I will need to wait for a letter regarding their decision.  Is the first time citibank gave me this message after call . Usually they say declined or approved.

Is that bad? Does anyone have this experience before?

It's either a security verification letter or a decline.

Comenity does the same when they can't confirm identity.

Same thing happened to me. Got sent letters for Macy's Amex and Bestbuy both identity verification issues, Both were Approved.
