question about Ring Card

Okay this is my next target.   but I have a question will the computers / servers at Barclays know I paid it off on both accounts to $0 balance? because on my CR its still showing balances from last month still has not been updated... so I am just wondering if I apply for Ring like tonight.. will their computers noticed my current accounts thru them is at $0 or are they gonna based it off from last month ?

Re: question about Ring Card

To my understanding, it will take a snapshot of your current credit report and use that, even if your payment has been processed.

I understand the frustration in waiting, but that may be best.

Exactly.  They will pull your current credit report, which only shows what has been reported.  If they haven't reported your most recent payments, then Barclays won't see them.  Even if something were to be manually UW it won't see things until they have been reported.

Re: question about Ring Card

I would believe (just a general assumption with what I know about how the financial world functions), this is due to audit purposes.

You couldn't use something "unofficial" like the current balance which isn't listed on the "official" documentation (the credit report), and still have a basis for your lending decision as being official in and of itself.

Otherwise you could illegitamize any denied application, ever, as it's seen as not having an equal playing field.

Once again as a disclaimer, I do not work for any consumer or credit sector of a bank, so I can't say for certain. But, it's just a hunch I have.

Re: question about Ring Card

looks like I will wait until it updates to 5% UTIL... some of accounts did get updated which makes it 24% UTIL but still not good enough... sometimes I wonder if BBVA NBA card would have given me 1st $10,000 SL since rebuilding BK if I had waited UTIL to be updated but I just couldnt wait for the gravy train to stay around lol
