I got an 599 for ex and eq and a 612 for tu do you think that's good for for the quicksilver 1 card
What does the rest of your profile look like? Any baddies?
I was approved for a QS1 with 1 collection + mid 500's score... but I also had perfect payment history on my other Cap1 card. Cap1 is a pretty easy bank to get cards with!
Best way to find out is to do the prequal on their site. If it says congrats you are qualified for then you have a good chance since Cap1 is dead on. But if it turns out like we couldn't find a match but we recommend then it doesn't seem so well. But some have had success in getting approved even if they aren't prequal, but remember if you take that risk you take a risk on getting 3 hard pulls one on each CR.

Will this be your first card with them ? Do you have any other cards or lines of credit showing ? The Platinum isn't a bad option, apply for that , wait two months and then ask for rewards, the QS1 has an AF of $39.

Honestly, wait a bit for your scores to be better before you apply. It is not worth it for CAP 1 to pull all 3 reports and approve you for a $500.00 card. If you can wait, do that.
I totally agree with Yes-its-me. Cap 1 was my first card a year ago (qs1). I didn't know what I was doing so I found this forum. Cap 1 I gave me an increase at the 3 month mark and the steps increase. I have gotten nothing since. I can't even pc to another card (which I am finding is common). I have gotten Chase, Discover, NFCU and Amex in the past 6 months with much better limits. I have a $39 annual fee for this qs1 to pay. I will pay one time only and if I can't get some kind of increase or upgrade, I will close it. It is ranking down there with the Merrick and First Premier cards for me. Every time I would get a new inquiry, my offers would disappear, new card- offers disappeared
Try for a comenity card, Walmart or Amazon card. Use it and pay it off for 3 or 4 months to get scores up then start checking prequalifiers with Chase and discover. Those 3 inquiries could result in better starter cardd vs 1 card. It is a marathon, not a race. Three to six months is nothing if you start getting pre-approved for better cards. With a little more info about your file, your need/wants and your goals will have some of the pros giving advice to make it happen. Good luck!
I got approved for a quick silver one with a TU of 623, if that helps.

Unless you have defaulted on Cap1 in the past year and with that TU you should be a shoe in for both cards. Assuming you have some negative credit history or are brand new to credit (and I don't know what your reports or profile looks like) you need some positive TL's reporting and these are 2 of the greats! It could take you quite a while to get your scores up enough to be approved for anything more than a $500 CL and having credit leads to more credit (if used properly).
You got to start somewhere. Might as well be with a CC company that will grow with you if you do what you are supposed to.
The older versions and the newer ones are two worlds apart. I just read a thread where a new Platinum CC was PC'd to a QS 4 days after receiving the card and it had never been used. (http://ficoforums.myfico.com/t5/Rebuilding-Your-Credit/I-have-3-Capital-One-cards-now-A-Platinum-a-QS1-and-a-QS/td-p/4517805)
CLI's are more liberal too.
I would def wait for your scores go up a bit or make sure you are prequalified on their website. My transunion is 610 and i have had a secured card with them for a year now which i have always payed on time and in full and i still got denied for the platinum.
