stupid amex question,

I just had an Ahhh-ha moment, I bet the reason I havent been able to get increases on my revolver is because I keep experian locked, Even though they get their monthly and sometimes daily SP on my credit. I think this is the reason it always goes to the 7-10 day message.

Anyone else agree or disagree?

Disagree. I’ve never had to unlock my report in order to get a CLI.

Re: stupid amex question,

Assuming timing isn't an issue (requesting early for instance) what did the denial letter tell you? Because unless I missed something they perform the SPs on your EX report to evaluate your requests and if you see them then they have everything they need

Re: stupid amex question,

Thanks guys! was currious if frozen credit was an issue. I will keep beating their doors down every chance I get

There is no point "beating their doors" if you do not address the reason(s) given for the decline. It might simply be a timing issue since your last request, utilization, new accounts, etc so I would make that a priority if you want to get a CLI with AMEX.

Re: stupid amex question,

I have never had to unfreeze my reports for an AMEX cli.

In addition, after my first approval, additional applications have been approved with a sp and have not needed to unfreeze my reports.
