that's nuts some of you have been waiting longer than it took to get the card in the mail (it came today, I was approved on the 25th)
@Anonymous wrote:So I had an interesting but brief conversation on the phone with them today. I called this morning and said I applied 2 weeks ago, still hadn't heard a decision. I said I called last week on Monday and they told me to call this Monday (yesterday) which of course was July 4th so they were closed, so, I'm calling today.
The woman entered in my SS#, I assume looked at my file on her screen, then said "do you mind if I put you on hold so I can see if I can get a decision right now for you?" Obviously I said sure. She came back in about a minute, and said "they are actually working on your application right now... they should have a decision in 24 hours, probably sooner. You'll likely receive your approval via email when they are complete."
"Your approval?" Not sure if I'm reading into this too much, but I got the impression that she somehow felt from talking briefly with whoever reviews apps that I was going to get approved. Or, maybe she just used the wrong word and didn't mean to say that. Who knows. Anyway, we'll see tomorrow if I get an email. If I don't hear anything tomorrow, I'll call again on Thursday.
Of course no one can say for SURE, but that sounds REALLY promising and was similar to my experience as well, when my app was in limbo! When I called and talk with someone after it had been processing for a few days, the CSR I talked with said approval a few times, and also told me that I would receive an email by end of week that week, but probably more like mid-week. She said, be watching for it!
I definitely think she already knew at that point it was being approved. When I app'd the first time back in April, it was an immediate decline; no email was sent, it was communicated via the USPS. So, the fact that the CSR was saying 'email' and 'approval' makes me believe you are approved! Definitely let us know what happens--I have my fingers crossed for you!
I will report back for sure. I'm hoping you're right. It's good to hear you had similar things said to you.
I see from your sig you have a $4k line with them. What was the EX score they pulled on you when you got approved? I'm just trying to compare myself to as many similar scores (and profiles) as possible.

They pulled a 683 EX for me, 17% utilization, many new accounts, and inquiries in the high 30's. I was denied at about 10 points lower just a few months back. My utilization was also higher too so the combination of the two must have made all the difference. Hopefully you'll hear something today!
im nearing the 2 week limbo. yesterday i got a letter asking me to call in to verify information. i called and was told that was an auto generated "reminder" letter sent out to everyone who needs to call in. the lady told me my app is in review and it could take 7-10 more business days, then i was told my app would be "sent over" again so a decision could be made perhaps today. we shall see. and if im not approved, i know its not because i have bad credit. its for whatever reason blispay thinks a PIF customer isnt what they need. honestly, i dont look for an approval now, but i still "hope" im approved. this is very frustrating ![]()
well... i finally got the approval email. thanks to all that contributed on this thread. for people still in limbo, unfortunately i have no tip/trick to share. perhaps it's all just a waiting game with blispay.

Congrats on that approal and very nice CL! How long was your total wait time from the time you applied until you received approval confirmation? Did you have to follow up to get the final approval or did you just get an email out of the blue? Thanks and again, congratulations!
3 weeks from app to approval email. followed up like 4-5 times. last call was yesterday. she was a diferent CSR. previous calls were the same person. hmmm perhaps that was the difference??? idk. btw im the OP in this thread so if you need more data pts, just look up all my posts in this thread esp my first post. good luck!
@CreditCuriousity wrote:Still gotta disagree my best friend has 840+ across board scores (not a member MyFico) applied last week got instant approval for 10k and has 0 cc debt other than house and car payment. I talked him into applying as well due to hidden TL 0% apr for 6 months and 2% CB. Reference is 840 Fico scores, 300k+ income and he owns multiple houses and a car and a long AAoA with 3-4 inquiries on each CRA. Continue to believe what you would like though.. I tell him what to apply for since I live and breath credit
I do agree something is slowing them down for some people though, what it is I have no idea. Keep holding out hope. I understand your frustration and your need to vent. Just throwing out the theory they don't like high scores as that simply isn't completely true as my best friend is evidence of this. He also has about 170k in open credit cards TL's
Please stop oversimplifying what I said. I didn't just "throw out a theory that they don't like high scores." Everyone keeps picking out "high scores" from ALL the factors I mentioned. Not once did I ever say that was the one single factor involved. High scores are only one part of the PROFILE I have been talking about. And I went into great detail about all of those factors, yet everyone fixates on just one of them to argue that I'm wrong, as if that's what I said. IT IS NOT WHAT I SAID. I SAID PROFILE. NOT SCORE.
The PROFILE is people open to carrying balances/debt and paying interest. Believe it or not, mortgages and car payments ARE DEBTS. Pretty big debts, actually, with lots of interest being paid. And income is not a factor with Blispay... it's not even a question on the application.
And yes, I was finally denied after 3 weeks. They know they will not make a penny from me, because no one does. With your friend, they see a possibility because he has a lot of debt that he's paying interest on. They likely envision big home improvement, appliances, decor, etc. purchases. It's not guaranteed, but again, when analyzing data, you drill down to a customer persona/profile based on the likelihood of a certain behavior. Sometimes you'll be wrong. But you pick the customers who have the best chance of generating income for your company... especially if you have limited resources, like this startup does.
That's not my opinion. It's Business 101.
Sorry for your denial. I could go on alot longer, but I think our discussions has ran its course or at least between yourself and me. We both have difference in opinion, simple as that. Have a good day.
