Was just approved for the SallieMae with a 5k limit for gas and walmart.
I want one more since i cant get anything for a year after this (buying a home). A good everyday CC with a decent limit. No annual fee.
Credit around 730ish.
Thanks!
One question: What is SallieMae a credit card or a Mortgage lender?
Congrats!
The credit card? Lmao.
Im gonna go with my employee card.
If if I close my usaa student card with a 2.5k limit and my Walmart store card with a 2.5 limit with that hurt me? Or can I simply keep em open?

Closing your cards won't hurt. They will stay on your reports for 10 years. As for whether you should keep them open that only something you can answer. If you don't use them now and have no plans to in the future, close them.
The only reason I might use the Walmart is for no interest on a tv or something. With the usaa the rewards suck. Lol
so with credit card utilization. Let's say a balance is $100 and my limit is $500. But I have another card with $0 balance and a $2k limit. Is my utilization on all cards or 20% on the one?
FICO scoring looks first at overall utilization of all cards combined. However when you get into micromanaging your score it's better to maintain a $0 balance on say 3/4 cards with the 4th having some utilization then a little on all 4. For the highest possible score you want all balances showing $0 with a little on one card. That's better than even a complete 0% utilization across the board.
I didnt know they had a CC. Thanks
