I have been working on improving my scores over the past 8 months or so and made major progress. I had one old collections for $14K and a very fresh collections of around $400 that I managed to get rid of; they just fell off yesterday, and as of today, my FICO 8 scores are 736 (EXP), 741 (TU), and 739 (EQ). previously they were in the mid-650s (except TU, which was slightly above 700 because the collections never showed up there).
currently I have some major student loan debt (around $50K, but it's being paid/is current), and 3 credit cards: a Chase Freedom ($1000, opened 7/2015), Barclays Rewards Mastercard ($1500, opened 11/2016), and the Synchrony Paypal card ($300, opened 1/2017). I have no other revolving accounts, though there are 2 fully paid off auto loans that still show up on my report. AAoA is 4-5 years, oldest account is 11 years.
my question is, what should I do to keep improving my credit scores — should I apply for one more card? should I wait for CLIs on my current cards? my current util is 12%.
