what should i do to get higher limits?

so, as you can see in my signature, my highest is $3,400 while my lowest is an adorable little $300 lol. my oldest account (which is my $500 credit union credit card) is 5 years and 11 months. my newest is my amex with $2,000 i got 03/13/15, and my AAoA is 3 years according to experian. i have only relieved an auto CLI on my kay jewelers card, which started out at $2,200 and is at $3,400 now.

so, if i am not getting auto increases and am being denied for customer initiated increases, what on earth should i do? it's annoying.

Some can be a real pitb when it comes to cli's.  Don't forget about Amex & their 3xcli after 61 days & again after 6 months.  I see some get them sooner but I'm waiting to ask at just the right time.  If you don't get anywhere with some, app for others.  Once you get a higher limit, others should follow.  If your scores are high enough, try for a Cap One Venture One or QS1.  Not sure how soon you can get an increase on NFCU.

None of those cards really give auto CLI from what I recall. The AMEX is a soft pull but you've only had it less than 60 days.

well i was denied my 3x CLI with amex due to the account being so new they said. kinda weird. and my score is about 671 or so and reporting 3% of total credit usage. i pay them off multiple times a month, but i let the freedom report my food balance lol

Keep trying with Amex every 90 days.  Eventually they will see you're doing a good job.  I've had my Freedom almost 6 months.  So I'm waiting to see what they will do.  I had Cap One for 10yrs & they were kind of stingy with their cli's so I app'd for the Venture & got the 20k.  Made a world of difference.

You can cheat like I did:

1) Apply for a Lowes card (then chat and ask for  $25K)

2) Apply for Walmart or CareCredit or Sam's Club or whatever Synchrony (then chat and ask for $15K)

3) 3X your AMEX when you are able to

4) Apply for Cap1 Venture

5) Take the hard on NFCU

You also have to take in the reality of your income and your decent but not great credit scores to measure against your Limit expectations.
