Hi every one , i am new to the whole credit card thing , and thank you for this great forum which helped me a lot !!
my credit history is only 6 months , i have one card which is BOFA cash rewards with 2000CL , my credit score is TU 720 , EX 718 EX 726 .
i dont have another credit account in my report , no auto loan , no hard pull .
Now i need to get another card and i am thinking between chase freedom vs AMEX blue cash every day vs capital one quicksilver .
which one is easier to get according to my poor profile ?
and is it wise to apply for the card now or should i wait for another 6months ?
your help will be appreciated ..
thanks
Question for you. Primarily, what do you intend to use this new card for? 6 months is enough to get the cards you really want for a beginner strategically. A rule of thumb is to at least have three credit cards to maximize your scores.
Once you answer my first question, go to both the Chase, Capital One and Amex websites and see if you are pre-qualified for any of their cards. Report back with results and then we can go from there.
Thanks for your reply , appreciate it ..
to answere your question , i want the new card to increase my total credit limit , i am using the bofa cash rewards for gas and the new card will be for the groceries.
According to the amex and capital one websites , i am pre-approved for the blue cash every day and the quicksilver cards , but i dont want to risk it and get a denial , thats why i asked which one is easier to get according to my profile ,
i think i will do more search on the amex and give it a shot then hope for the best ..

Ok.. Amex pre-equals are very solid. So go for the Amex BCE. Wahtever you do, apply for Capital One cards last as they pull all three reports. Also, it is fine to be weary of a denial based on your credit profile hence the need to be very strategic.
Amex likes thin files and your score is high so report back with results should you apply...
Thanks for your help ,
i applied to the AMEX and approved with CL of 1000 , not bad for me as a start
thanks for this great forum

Good job!! It will grow with you. Give it 60 days and try for a CLI... Enjoy your new card.
Congrats!!! I never had a doubt!!!!

All 3 are good cards and you would probably be able to get any one of them.
If it were me I'd go for the Amex blue cash preferred.
