I recently hit 61 days on my new Amex BCP and decided to try for a CLI. I got the 7-10 day message. Anxiously waited for the letter to come as I was hoping I had just applied too early, and wasn't being denied for a credit profile related reason (I know you have to wait 90 days if denied for this).
The letter arrived a few days ago and the denial reason stated that my relationship with Amex was too new. So I decided to try again. I'm currently carrying a balance over 3k on the card (0% intro APR). I also refinanced my car and have a recent mortgage inquiry in the time since I've opened the card. So I wasn't feeling too confident.
My SL was 15k so obviously I wasn't going to ask for a 3x CLI. I've heard they can request the dreaded tax forms anywhere from 25k-35k so I decided to play it safe and ask for 24k.
Instant approval! So apparently they weren't bothered by the things I was concerned about. Very happy with Amex and this card so far!
Congrats!
Congratulations on your Amex BCP CLI!
Wow! Congrats on your approval!
Congrats on your Amex CLI! Good for you, being cautious...
This is another one for me coming up in Nov. I'm chewing at the bit, waiting for my 2nd 3x....
Congrats on your AMEX Blue Cash Preferred CLI
Congrats on your BCP CLI 👍🏼
That’s terrific! Congratulations on your BCP CLI approval!! 👏🏼🎉🍾
I think your next opportunity is in another 91 days. As long as you don't go over $35K, you "should" be okay without having to provide POI...at least that's what is typically reported around here...
Congrats on the $9K CLI !!
