2x American Express cards within 24 hours

Hello boys and girls. I applied for the Amex BCE last night and was instant approved. This morning I decided to apply for there charge card gold and got the " we need more time" blah blah, blah message and within minutes was also approved. I hope they use the same inquiry from last night. What a good way to finished the year. I had a account with them back in 2006. I'll call if they can backdated.

They don't backdate anymore.

Call them to push the charge app through as it's a 5 day hold for security reasons usually.

They appvoed my Amex gold card within minutes I applied. Now just waiting for both cards to arrive.

Question as far as backdating goes...

I currently have an Amex BCE. It's open and active.
I opened that card in 2011.

If I app for a new Amex Card, will it display 2016 date or 2011 date?

I think since you have an active AMEX card dated 2011 your new ones will also have that date.  There's no loss or gain though as the open date will be the newer date and not pick up extended history from the member date.  The backdating was for extended history to push out the AAOA on recovering profiles.

Congrats!!!  Both my new Cards say Member Since 2016.  My AMEX

page when I log to pay bill says 1995.  Still, its great to be back in with them!!!

Congrats - and yes they always seem to allow 1 Charge and 1 Credit card in a day on a single pull. I think I have 3 pulls for my 5 Amex's total.
