3rd times a charm. Discover just confuses me

3000 SL, was denied with no offer of a co-signer, secure nada a little over a month ago, then today I was feeling it was a good day. Got the message needed to call in to finish the app, verified some info, read me some stuff and all i heard was BLAH BLAH BLAH, figured it was a denial, She put me on hold for about 2 minutes and came back and said congrats! I don't think they pulled EQ which normally they do. They pull TU once on me. I will know once I get the alert.

nowhere to go but up from here, LOL

This site has been so great. I am litterally up 190ish points on my EX and 210ish points on TU and it hasnt even been a year, EQ was rebucketed so my score jumps will be alot bigger now, I just noticed that today. Where my other scores my increase only a few points for a certain action, EQ's projected is almost double or triple in some cases.

Congrats! For me it was I believe the 5th try to get in and I too had a "feeling" but expected the worse case then boom instant!

It is interesting how difficult it is to get discover, though many folks seem to apply with low scores. I only applied once after receiving my one and only preapproval. I didn't get the terms but received a counteroffer and a 1k limit at the highest interest and only 6 months 0% interest. It was my 4th card in 5 months, my eq score was 695 and I owed over $110k on a home equity line of credit and had countless late payments, most recently in 2013. Now my limit is over $5k and Discover is my primary card. It will probably be my last. I signed an opt out form after getting the card last June. I get modest soft pull CLIs almost every month and enjoy the card. I hope you do as well.
