So I've been growing my Discover It a fair bit these past few months. Hitting the love button and receiving $1,000 here, $1,500 there, which has been cool.
Yesterday I was at $7,250, and tried the same thing since it had been a couple of months since I had given it a push. This time received the message that my request needed further review, and no further action was needed at this time. I've received this message a couple of times previously, and both times it wound up with a denial letter in the mail a week later due to "lack of experience at this level of credit" or however they phrased it.
Not this time. I logged into my Discover account today and notice they've bumped me from $7,250 to $12,250, a $5,000 increase! So yeah, I'm pretty happy about it.
Since I got my It into the Double Cash promotion then it's become my main card and I'm putting a fair bit of spend through it, which I am sure probably helped.
My It started as a $750 card in July of 2014, and now less than a year and a half later is up to $12,250. I guess it really does pay to Discover...
Nice CLI!
Existing cardholders had until a certain date (I think the end of June) to sign up for Double Cash. After that only new accounts are eligible.
@Glkslngr wrote:Congrats! You say that you got your It in on the double cash back promotion... How is that possible? I was told by a rep a few days ago that it is only for new cardholders..
Congrats OP! I love this card.
Veg right when the promo started Discover let people that had the card already get in. I think they nixed it after a few weeks, but I have it as well.
Congrats
