AAA Signature Approval!

I received a pre approval mailing from AAA a couple weeks ago. I was skeptical but decided to go for it. Applied online,  got the wait for something in the mail in 10-14 days message. When I got the mail I called in, they asked a few questions about this & that car loan, mortgage, was/was that not yours etc. for verification. I passed all that, then got the congrats you're approved $2900 limit :-) which is good for me being on a slow rebuild. Been in the creditone zone for too long, it will be good to get out!

This was an Equifax only hard pull (I'm in New York State) score was 651 when they pulled. I noticed on my EQ report they were doing some soft pulls in the month before I got the pre approval mail. Points in my favor were probably no hard pulls in over a year and 5+ years of on time payments. Also I have an Overstock card from them (Comenity) for a few years which I hardly use. It's great to have some good news finally!

Very nice! They released a couple new cards recently. Was yours the Daily or Travel Advantage? Sweet catch either way!

Daily Advantage - 5% cash back on groceries, 3% on gasoline, electric charging, wholesale clubs, streaming, pharmacy, AAA purchases. 1% on everything else. Max per calendar year of $500 cash back earned on the 5% & 3% categories, then everything earns 1% so maybe not great but not bad, happy to have a rewards card.

You might clarify?, as there are two different Comenity AAA cards.

I have the "Travel Advantage"

and then there is the "Daily Advantage"
