So I decided to do a double pull after just getting approved for the Capital One Savor One Credit Card. I was pre-approved for this card back in March, but never actually applied for it. Well, I pulled the trigger since I already had a new inquiry from Capital One anyway, and turns out I was still pre-approved in their system and got an instant approval. I was approved for $2300 and Bread Financial gave me a Temporary Credit Card that I was able to add to my Google Wallet and also register my account online as well. I did get a little greedy and immediately asked for a CLI on this card just to see, and I was instantly shot down and given the "we need to examine your account more to see if you qualify. Expect a letter within 7 - 10 Business Days from us."
Anyway they pulled Equifax for me and my score was a 709
Congrats. I am looking into this card myself. I haven't made up my mind yet. What are your data points? How many eew accounts and inquiries when applying?

So here are my data points, and apparently I'm an "oddity" in this compared to everyone else in my situation. I filed for BK7 in February 2024 (medical debt, burned all the major banks, including Capital One). I was dicharged in May 2024. I figured since my credit was shot anyway, might as well try and get approved for what I can, even if I end up closing them after 1 year. I'm planning on closing the store cards and consolodating my other cards. But I went from a 529 Fico Score in April 2024 to a 709 Score in April 2024 because of this.
Since discharge I've opened the following accounts:
My credit score at time of Approval: 709
My Total Inquiries: 17
Holy smokes! That's a lot of cards! But good for you! Seriously. That's bold.

Yeah, I'm not planning on keeping a majority of them open. I simply did it to increase my credit score, and it worked. Like I plan on closing all of the store cards and the subprime cards. Once they reach 1 year in history, they're gone. And now that I have the Savor from CO and AAA from Bread, I'm going to "garden" for the next 2 years so the inquiries can fall off.
Congratulations on your Approval.

OP, you could reduce down to Ally, Savor, and AAA and have a pretty good set right there. How does the Ally card work? I thought they sold of their credit card division? Will it be changing?
