When my 3X credit limit increase is due on the 61st day, I was wondering if I ask for more than 3x for my BCP if AMEX will just reject me outright as I've seen sometimes they don't even give counter offers.

Currently I have $2,000 limit on my BCP and since at the time of approval my CSP with its 10K limit wasn't reporting, do you think if I ask for an increase to 10K on the BCP, AMEX will honor it since Chase gave me 10K on my CSP? Or should I just stick with 3x increase to $6000.

I don't think they'll give you more than the famous 3X CLI.. But if you request more lets say 10000 they'll counter offer ($6000 or less)

There have been many reports of counter offers, I don't see why this would be any different.

Unless Amex gets really offended, like "HOW DARE TOU ASK FOR MORE THAN YOU DESERVE". Kinda like Oliver asking for more food.

They just don't allow limits to be more than tripled with each increase. I tried and the system said it had to be up to three times the current limit and wouldn't proceed until I entered a correct amount.

Gonna ask for 10,000 and see what they say. Wish me luck! Hopefully it's approved. I hate the 2K limit on my AMEX!

Amex probably wont deny you for asking for 10k. Vast majority of customers have no idea what the policy is. Im sure they get 1000s of CLI req per day...
