AMEX 3x CLI attempt...

Hey all,

I did my last AMEX CLI attempt on June 19th, and was going to wait for tomorrow to pull the trigger.  I pulled up a date calculator and it was saying 180 days from June 19th would have been two days ago, DOH!  Anyway I figured it couldn't hurt to try and worst case (like last time I was a day early, tried it the next day and it worked).  I put in my info, and ultimately decided to give the AMEX BCP a shot at a 3x CLI.  It was currently at $4,500, so I put I'd like the increase to be up to $13,500 or a $9,000 increase.

I put in my income information and hit submit and a screen loaded right away...

I quickly hit accept and was thankful I, at least, got something.  Plus my BCP now matches my Delta @ $9,000 each  I bought a new car Tuesday and got pegged with a bunch on INQs, but I was able to get 2.99% with $0 down  I was curious if those INQs might have impacted the CLI I got, but not a big deal if so, I'll shoot for $25,000 in 180 days on the BCP, by then I should have 0 derogs on any of my reports...

awesome!  I can only imagine a time when my reports are clean.  8 more years for me   :[

That's a great SP CLI, Ozix! Congratulations!! I'm hoping to have that kind of success 6 months from now so I'll be able to get my ED to 6K.

congrats on the 3x cli! they are rare these days.

your inquiries for the car should merge though. so long as you did your loan shopping in 30 days. they wont hurt your score after the first inquiry...but eventually they should all roll into one. right guys?

Congrats! Still a fantastic limit. Didn't know Amex countered when they don't approve your original request!

No. A bit off topic, but the car inquiries will stay as individual inquiries.

They are rolled up in 1 for scoring purposes, but they stay as individual inquiries.

Most lenders (I hope) internally also look at them as 1, as long as they are listed as an auto loan (or mortgage) inquiry.
