AMEX Approved, Backdating Questions

Was approved for the AMEX Costco card earlier in the week and it's being shipped now. I understand the MSD backdating process however here is my situation. I had a AMEX Gold Business card back in 1995. Everything paid and on time however after about a year they closed it as they felt my charging habits weren't what they were wanting.

After I get the card would it be wise to call and ask them to correct the MSD?

I'd hate for them to pull up any info showing they closed that acct and then it adversly effect this new card, but adding a close to 20yr acct would greatly improve my AAoA.

dont call. I did that today SEE HERE and got nowhere because they said I cancelled my account. I got on chat and they took care of it in 5 min and I got the confirmation about 2 or 3 hours later. do the chat.
